"The Tokyo Tarareba Girls" gives me a completely different feeling from "Koi ga Heta demo Ikitemasu". At first, I enjoyed watching the latter and gave it four stars, but after watching the last two episodes, I deducted two stars. On the other hand, I found "The Tokyo Tarareba Girls" quite difficult to watch, but after finishing it, I felt it deserved to be rated three stars or higher. XD
I don't want to say much about "Koi ga Heta demo Ikitemasu". All I can say is that I felt helpless in the last two episodes, and the final episode required a lot of patience to finish. In my opinion, the ending was unrealistic and irresponsible, which disappointed the interesting setup of the previous ten episodes. As for "The Tokyo Tarareba Girls", I don't have much to say either. XD As someone who is not only intellectually against marriage but also emotionally detached from it, it's hard for me to relate. However, I found the portrayal of emotions in this drama quite interesting. In the final episode, it was clearly expressed through Kyoko's words, which can be summed up as "sex without morality".
There is no good or evil, no right or wrong. It has nothing to do with these value judgments and cannot be mixed together. Emotions and sex are just emotions and sex. They are sincere and cannot be disguised. The same concept applies to the emotional interaction and relationship changes between Rinko and Hayasaka. For the frankness and honesty in facing emotions and sex, I think this drama deserves at least three stars.
But what I really want to say is, Marui is so adorable!!!! ♡/////д//////♡ That's my most intuitive feeling about "The Tokyo Tarareba Girls". After all, I initially watched it just for Marui. XDD/// Marui is a perfect combination of Haruta and Iwai, truly a sinful existence. XDD He manages to have an affair in such a pure and innocent way. Every word, every expression, and every action seems extremely childish and innocent, yet he calculates everything precisely, as if he knows for sure that he will be completely accepted. His seemingly calculated moves are actually sincere and heartfelt. Ah, I can understand every emotion of Kyoko.
Marui is more cunning than Makoto said Haruta was. I think he is truly cunning. The description of Kei-san playing Iwai also applies more to his portrayal of Marui. Compared to Iwai, Marui is even more pure. Iwai still has a hint of mature taste, like brewing tea with substances floating in it, while Marui is like Haruta, clear and transparent like pure water. Kei-san said that the character he played, Marui, just fell in love with someone and wanted to have a good relationship. I think this attitude towards emotions and sex is consistent with what I mentioned earlier. So pure and clean.
Although I think Kaisuke is okay overall, his introduction was so unrealistic that I thought he was more alien than Maro. XD However, the scene where Kaisuke tries to roll on the bed in the fourth episode was so adorable. After being pushed down and rolling over, it reminded me of Haruta. I really liked that part. XD
So far, I have watched Kei-san's performances in the following: "Kenkou de Bunkateki na Saitei Gendo no Seikatsu", "Double Fantasy", "Ossan's Love" TV series and SP version, "The Man Who Made the Era: Akira Fuse Story", "Ito-kun A to E" TV series and movie, "Koi ga Heta demo Ikitemasu", "The Tokyo Tarareba Girls", "Koi no Jikasoukabu", "I'm Home", "Bittare!!!", "Nocon Kid: Our Game History", "Aibou" TV series episodes he appeared in + "X DAY", "Library Wars" two movies + SP, "Afro Tanaka", "Tajomaru", "Furin Shokudo". Except for "I'm Home" and "Ossan's Love" that I watched before, all the others were watched in the past two months. I'm surprised myself. XD Although I love watching movies, I rarely watch dramas. It's rare for me to be interested enough to have the motivation to watch them. As someone who used to only watch three Japanese dramas in two years, it's amazing that I finished so many in just two months because of Kei-san (I mean, really watching them, not just watching clips of Kei-san). Fortunately, I thought they were all okay except for "Koi ga Heta demo Ikitemasu". Each character was well-liked, like Marui, Iwai, Ibuki, and Iwatsuki. But I also liked other characters, like Komaki, even though Tamura had some negative qualities, he was still charming, as well as Sakuramaru. Although Ryo's character had an exaggerated development in the last episode, I still liked him. XD I've almost talked about every character. I also really liked the other characters, even in "5→9: Watashi ni Koi Shita Obosan", where I only watched Kei-san's scenes. I felt so heartbroken for Seimiya. I think it's because of what Director Mihakawa said. These characters have a purity that I find very attractive, and this purity comes from Kei Tanaka himself, as shown in his diary.
I'm looking forward to continuing to accompany him in the future.
