Brief notes on "The Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Justice's Excursion"

I thought I was going to watch a light comedy based on deduction (?), but it turned out to be an epic tragic love story. (Not)

In terms of structure, the whole story is quite interesting. In my opinion, it follows a pattern of episodic drama forming the main storyline, but the cuts are a bit too fragmented, and the pace is rather slow. If the length were trimmed down further, it could be more compact and better able to avoid the logical gaps left by unclear details.

Compared to "deduction," this drama is actually more adept at "lyricism." Each case intends to highlight the emotional impact within, emphasizing the "Whydunit" form, which momentarily reminded me of the era of Kindaichi Kosuke-san's "Kindaichi," with a similar rich Showa color reminiscent of the works of Yokomizo-sensei, focusing on the human heart and mind. It delves deep into the human psyche by directly addressing it. However, "lyricism" requires "narrative" as a foundation, and the handling of this aspect in the drama is weaker.

I feel like this drama is like a picture that couldn't be displayed in the right proportions. It should have been a delicate small picture, but it was stretched and enlarged, making it seem compressed, although it still retains its basic charm, it always appears slightly distorted.

In terms of emotions alone, unexpectedly, what resonated with me the most in the drama was the sudden change of circumstances, leaving everything uncertain. What more can I say when I completely understand.╮(╯▽╰)╭ This drama is actually very homoerotic. When I say homoerotic, I mean it in its original sense, not as a genre, but as a belief in "beauty." If I had to describe this drama in one word, I think I would still say it's "love." Led by the people of Dairi-ji, this group is willing to believe in love, and therefore can love. The essence of love lies in belief. Ironically, I have basically lost faith. From the beginning of the drama, I thought: there is no such workplace. Let alone in the political arena. This society is like a desert, where people have been exposed for so long that it's hard to believe there's still a drop of water inside to water a flower. But deep down, they all still have a well.

The strength of this drama lies mainly in character development. Although it could have been portrayed more in-depth, the characters are already well-rounded, with clear characteristics. The actors' interpretations are also quite on point, with full emotions, even cameo appearances leave a distinct impression.

Ding Er's look this time, I think the most beautiful is the white hair, followed by the youthful ponytail. The crying scene with white hair was already shown at the beginning, instantly capturing my attention. XD Although it only appeared for a short while in the main part, the child crying is just too beautiful. Our child is really suitable for crying scenes, with such expressive eyes and brows, very moving. The youthful ponytail is a bit like Shouku General, I really like this look, very lively and super cute.
